As i promised to my self i fully enjoyed my 90's mood day, partying all night long with that spectacular trashy music! Without even realizing it, i was out having fun with good friends at the opening day of that super duper band, calling them selves " The Wedding Singers " ( how trashy is that ???? ) . Well these guys succeeded not only to party us, but yet to remind us even more of that neon shiny, happy days of innocence! I will take a minute talking about these guys as a tribute to their feat of reminding me that life goes on, yet hold up close for ever our past!
As i was having the time of my life to the magnificent island of Kythera during my vacation, i was announced that we were gonna spend the night, listening to a live band. God how bored i was just in the idea of going to another cover band live........ I was actually forced there and then ... hello hello what was that? Four young men playing the sounds of my adolescence and in a very, very , very good way!!!! That was it, i was having fun in a way that its been a long time to live! They played unstoppably for more than 3 hours, keeping everybody dancing and jumping all night long. Gosh how i loved these guys since then! Thankfully they announced that day that their gonna play the whole winter season in town, so i made my self a promise that for sure i will go at least one more time. It's not only the fact that they play that kind of music, not only that they play it so good, but also the vibes that share with you! Their so tight as a band, having fun as they play together that leaves you no chance at all than party with them!
So yes, as i was looking around how to spend that special moody day, i was informed accidentally that their opening day to the town was at that day! What a joy! There wasn't any chance of missing that! And there i was, along with friends partying once more with these guys! As i was dancing and laughing i realize that actually beside all my 90's desire satisfaction, an era come to an end end...... These guys manage in one night to take me back to the past, not just once, but twice. It was at that time that i realize that they took me back not only to my years of innocence, but also to the very best vacation that i probably had since now. One way or another, " The Wedding Singers " , made me realize that everything come to an end and at the same time everything stays with you, for as long as you wish or want to be a part of you........ I felt at that same moment that an era of my life ended.... A short one, but yet an era. An era of a long lasting winter full of changes for me and my friends, an era of transitions, an era of a new life to begin for a lot of us ( change of work field, change of country, changing homes, searching for new horizons ) , an era of where we have to follow a new guideline, new challenges.... And as i was keep on hiding in the fear of the unknown, there i had the very best time with these guys in the island, remind me that i made it once, so i can do it again and again, that am a chameleon ready to camouflage and transform under any situation... That i can be at the same time, the teenage girl that i was and the woman i am, the same dreamer and optimist person, living in the same body through out the years. And they did it twice!!!!! Thank you " Wedding Singers " for keeping the flame alive..... Lets hope that all that " new " arising to our lives ( mine and my friends... now that i am thinking about it, seriously its a lot of us, come on !!!!!! this could not be a coincidence !!!!!!!!!!! ) will be the beginning of our new era. An era of productivity, lots of new experiences, living inside us in a parallel universe, under the same roof with our past! Good luck everybody, love you all!!!!!
